During 2020 many of us had time to try those family recipes that always seemed to sound wonderful but due to limited time never made it to the dinner table. We thought 2021 might be the perfect time to share those recipes you experimented with. If you have a recipe you would like to share with our customers, especially one that may have an ingredient or two that was grown in either your garden or ours, please send the recipe to our email and we will post the recipe on this page for all to try.

What's special about this recipe?
Growing up right next to my Grandfather's strawberry field assured our family of having strawberry shortcake as our dessert during the strawberry season. My father was very particular about the taste of his shortcake. He always buttered his shortcake biscuits, added a little extra sugar to his strawberries, and wanted an oversized dollop of heavy cream on every serving. The recipe above combines each of my father's additions to the shortcake recipe. The biscuits are buttery, a little sweet, and creamy. Hope you enjoy this recipe. It is still my favorite dessert and my choice of breakfast foods during the season.
